My name’s HannaMei and I’m a working professional who loves to watch Netflix in my free time. I decided to make a blog because I watch so many shows on Netflix and want somewhere to write down my thoughts.

Why did you decide to start a blog?

I also just started taking an online course on Coursera (Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Professional Certificate) and was learning about search engine optimization and search engine marketing recently. I was curious what would come up when I searched up my name, so I looked myself up and found various social media accounts, past school activities and competitions that I had been a part of, etc.

This got me thinking about what a potential recruiter would find when they looked up my name, so I thought that creating a blog would be a good idea to start building my own personal brand.

How did you choose a topic?

When it came to what I wanted to make a blog about, I had several ideas. I settled on tv show reviews because I already watch Netflix on a regular basis and it would also be a way for me to reflect on what I had watched more intentionally. That’s not to say I won’t ever post about any other topics, but I just want to start with reviewing shows since I have so much content already.
